Kimber and Troy's Wedding

Ella Grace attended her first wedding on Monday, May 9th in Greenwood at 6:00 pm.  It was Wes's cousin, Kimber, wedding and it was a blast.  The wedding was so beautiful and truley touching.  It is such a blessed event to be able to witness, along with friends and family, two people sharing thier love with each other.  Wes, Ella, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness.  Ella Grace was, of course, so well-behaved that the officiator didn't even know she was there.  It helped that she had a bottle during the whole ceremony though.  Ella enjoyed some of the dinner that was served along with everyone else.  Actually, she just managed to steal some potatoes off of her daddy's plate and gobble them up.  She also got to dance with her cousins, Kayla and Scotty, on the dance floor.  She loved that!  She especially loved watching the bride and grooms first dance.  She was on hands and knees on the dance floor screaming and smacking the floor.  She was just trying to express how happy she was for the two.  Overall, the night was great and I am looking forward to many more outings that involve our family and friends.

My first Mother's Day!

We had the best day ever together!  Ella Grace and I went to church this morning and she was so well behaved.  Wes had to go to another church as a guest speaker, so he missed out this morning.  Afterwards, we all just lounged around and took it easy until dinner time.  It was definitely a relaxing day with no stress.  Wes, Ella Grace, Red and I all went to the park to cook out and play on the swingsets.  Red had her ball with her, of course and Ella Grace tried to steal it a few times.  She had a blast watching Red running around and chasing her ball.  Ella would just scream at her and start laughing.  It was so cute!  Overall, we all had a great, relaxing day and it was definitely the best first Mother's Day I could have asked for.

Ella Grace and I had a busy day today.  We went to visit our friends Patty and Roger and then we made lunch for Wes and took it to him at work so that we could eat with him.  After all that, we decided to swing and play in the dirt.  Did I mention that Ella Grace likes dirt.  She kept trying to eat it and crawl around in it.  There was one point Ella Grace fell face first into the dirt off of the slide.  It didn't faze her at all.  She just started trying to shove the dirt in her mouth.  Yuck!  Oh well, I guess all the matters is that she had fun.

Cinco De Mayo!!!

Yay!!!  So it's Cinco De Mayo and of course being the festive person I am, I made Chili Cheese and Black Bean Enchiladas.  Or you could call them Enchurritos (Wes's idea), because they were HUGE and looked more like a gigantic burrito.  Whatever you decide to call them, they were definitely the best I have made yet.  I wish I would have taken a picture.  Oh well!  We also had the delicious and low-calorie Skinnygirl Margarita, which I looked for everywhere.  The website said it was at Kroger, but of course no it was not.  Then I went to this hidden, tiny liquor store way down in Greenwood since the website listed this as a location as well and of course it was not there either.  One day I decided to stop at this liquor store that is like 2 seconds from where we live and of course it is there.  Grrrrr!  Well, it was totally worth it because it is great, especially for a margarita mix that is low calorie.  We took the enchiladas over to Kay's, Wes's Mom's, to have them with her and so she could visit with Ella Grace, Wes, and I.  This was definitely a funtastic day hanging with the family and I look forward to many more days like this.
